Red Capped Robin

Like most birds in the Flinders Ranges the Red Capped Robin breeds during winter. The males are in full colour ready to attract a partner. They are very common at the moment and are a treat to  meet. Their nests are very difficult to find. They build them in the forks inside acacia bushes, disguising them with pieces of acacia bark stuck to the outside.
