Thanks Rita, we had a good Christmas, hope you did too.

The rain has gone now and we are into a week of 40+ degrees C. The creeks and springs are drying out but the trees and bushes are still healthy from the recent rains.

We could receive some monsoon rains from up north soon, here's hoping.

We look forward to seeing you next time.

best wishes, Tim.

Hello from Germany,

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Rawnsley Park mid-November 2008. It was a very enjoyable visit. The bird life was fantastic. We sat in front of our cabin, and saw galahs, ring-necked parrots, noisy miners, and other birds I don't know the name of.

Compared with our first visit to the Flinders in September 2001, we thought it was very dry this time. So it is good to hear you got some rain.

Merry Christmas to everyone, and thanks for the friendly service.

Cheers, Rita

It's really great to see the office building come to completion, shimmering mini -orb and all. The blog itself looks terrific and should really help to bring out the personality of Rawnsley Park. Tony and Julie have been great contributors to regional tourism in the Flinders Ranges but have always been self-effacing about it. So here's to the odd Day in the the Life of the Smiths entry on this blog!
