Four Wheel Drive Tours

4wd meccaOur 4WD tours take in the most spectacular scenery of the Flinders Ranges, and showcase the wildlife, geology, Aboriginal and European history of the region.  All tours are conducted by experienced local guides in modern 4WD vehicles. Most tours (except for Skytrek) are available as full-day (8.30am - 4.30pm) or half-day (8.30am - 12.30pm) options.  Full-day tours include morning tea and lunch.  Half-day tours include morning tea.

Tour 1 - Flinders Ranges National Park
Take in the spectacular scenery, biodiversity, geology, fossils and settlement history of the Flinders Ranges National Park including Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges. The full day tour is recommended for a fuller, more leisurely experience including lunch.

Tour 2 - Chace Range
Follow in the footsteps of bullock driver and explorer, William Chace.  Take the "road less travelled" through an operating sheep station containing some of the most pristine country in the region. Take in scenic views of landmarks such as Parawillia Gap, Woolwash Waterhole, Wilpena Pound, Elder Range and Druid Range.

Tour 3 - Skytrek
The premier 4WD track in the region through Willow Springs Station and the Bunkers Conservation Reserve is home to Mt Caernarvon (910m), the highest point in the Flinders reachable by 4WD vehicle.  Features spectacular views of the Central Flinders Ranges, including the 360 degree panorama from the top, from Lake Torrens in the west to Lake Frome in the north-east.

Tour 4 - Central Flinders Explorer
A comprehensive full day tour taking in the spectacular Flinders Ranges National Park then continuing on to the historic town of Parachilna, including lunch in the reknown Prairie Hotel with their famous "feral" fare, and on to Blinman, highest town in South Australia.
