Located in an authentic Australian woolshed, our restaurant serves delicious Modern Australian cuisine. Choose from a table in the old Woolshed, perhaps by the roaring open fire in winter, or out on the deck when the weather is fine.
The ever-changing menu makes the best of local produce, including Rawnsley’s own lamb. Fully licensed, the restaurant also stock a great range of Southern Flinders and Clare Valley wines, and can cater for functions including weddings, birthday parties and corporate events.
Mother and Daughter, Angela and Jade Nuttall, along with Ben and Mike, are the new team at the restaurant.
Angela was born in Gisborne, New Zealand, and grew up in Tauranga, New Zealand. Her working life started when she began working in various family businesses at a young age. When she was in her 20's she began her mangement career with her own business and raised a family at the same time. She has always been interested in Tourism and Tourism Management and focuses on excellent customer service. Angela is interested in all forms of the Tourism Industry and the history of different places and cultures. Angela loves seeing new places and people, and travels whenever possible.
Jade was born and raised in Tauranga, New Zealand. Her background has always been food and beverage related. Having entered competitions and cooking demonstrations at secondary school, she decided to enter the industry at entry level and found a placement at the Tauranga racecourse. Her talent and great work ethic saw her rise through the ranks quickly and at 21 years old was NZ Track Racing's "Catering and Funtions Manager". She was responsible for the catering of numerous racecourses in the North Island , New Zealand. This was a huge responsibility as some race days had 30,000 patrons. Jade has a flair with people and her passion for perfection shines through, whether it is dinner service , a wedding or some special event, she will put 100% into making it an occasion to remember.
The Woolshed Restaurant is open for dinner seven days (except Christmas Day) and for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday (March-November). During February the restaurant is closed for lunch except for bookings of 6 or more. Book a table at reception or call (08) 8648 0700.

Join us for 'Cutout' (a term used to describe the end of shearing in a Woolshed)
Every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday 5.00-6.30pm in the Woolshed Restaurant. Come along and try Wilkadene Woolshed Brewery Hard Lemonade, Cider, Amber Ale, Summer Ale, Amazon Ale and Judas the Dark beer at $5.50 (normally $10 a bottle)
Our first Lamb Tastings for the year will be on Sunday 30th April and Friday 5th May. They will start at 6.30pm and the cost is $110 per person. We will showcase lamb direct from the property, and prepared in three different and delicious courses. Clare Valley wines will be matched to each course. The dinner will be hosted by our farm manager and we have a maximum of 20 places.
The evening will finish with South Australian ports and a platter of local cheeses.
Lamb on the Spit
On Easter Sunday we will hold our first Lamb on the Spit evening for 2017. This is a buffet style meal. Adults $39. Children 5-12 years $15
