Conservation At Rawnsley Park

Rawnsley Park Station is committed to practising and promoting environmental sustainability and social and cultural responsibility.

We believe that human-caused greenhouse gas emissions is a chief cause of global warming and their reduction may reduce the speed and degree of global warming.

Whatever the ultimate truth of the causes of global warming, we embrace greenhouse gas reduction as a means of focusing attention on protecting the global environment and the intelligent and sustainable use of the Earth’s finite resources.

Some of the measures we have adopted at Rawnsley Park Station include:

Recycling of plastic, glass and aluminium.
Use of micro flouro light globes.
Care of vehicles and conservative driving practices.
Installation of 9kW solar power generator.
Building the eco-villas.
Engaging in the process of transferring the sustainable cleaning and maintenance practices of the eco-villas to the rest of the property.
Participating in aligning the property with the culture and procedures to participate in current and up-to-date Eco-Accreditation on as many levels and areas of operation as possible.
Participating in Climate Action Australia accreditation.
Promoting awareness of sustainability issues to staff and guests.
