Build It Your Way

After 20 years running the amazing Rawnsley Station, we have come to realise that not all customers like to travel and experience their holiday the same way.

Therefore, we want to give you the choice to build your experience your way.

OPTION 1 – Perfect for Luxury Seekers

Start with three nights accommodation in the luxurious Rawnsley Homestead where you will have your own private outdoor pool, and a home to call your own. The Homestead is fully renovated and comes with a country style kitchen, lounge, dining, two bedrooms and two bathrooms with views over the Chace Range.

Add a full day four-wheel drive tour. Your choice of Central Flinders Explorer which covers Wilpena Pound, Bunyeroo Valley and Gorge. Lunch is served at the Prairie Hotel before we head on to Parachilna Gorge with a stop at Wadna and the Aboriginal Culture and Art Shop before heading home via Blinman.

Or, alternatively, you may wish to opt for the Wallabies, Rocks and Copper tour where we explore all the scenery, wildlife and geology of the Flinders Ranges with a stop for lunch at the Blinman Hotel and a visit to the Heritage Blinman Copper Mine.

For day two, add your choice of half day tour. You can choose to visit the Arkapena Station for an off road 4wd experience. Or join us for the Station Run tour where you can see the day-to-day life of running a 2000 sheep station, including a stop at the Shearing Shed.

We will then add in a complimentary half price Sunset at Chace Range tour that includes wine, canapes and a chance to watch the sun set across the stunning Wilpena Pound.

OPTION 2 – Perfect for Thrill Seekers

Start with three nights accommodation in an Eco-Villa. With Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation, these villas are designed to complement the natural environment and be energy efficient. The villas are ideal for couples and are full self-contained with spacious living and dining areas, private balconies to enjoy the views and separate bedrooms with over-bed skylights to watch the Milky Way as you drift off to sleep.

To complement your stay, add a Helicopter flight at Sunset or Sunrise. The 15 minute Sunset Flight to the top of the Chace Range includes 60 minutes on the ground to watch the sun set.

The Breakfast Flight to Chace Lookout includes 60 minutes on the ground where you will enjoy a fully cooked breakfast prepared by your host. Plus a lot of time to capture that all important sunrise shot. Please note that the Breakfast flight is only available April to October.

Alternatively add a 45 minute flight exploring Wilpena Pound, Rawnsley Bluff, Bunyeroo Gorge and Edeowie Gorge

After all that flying, we will add in a $100 voucher for dinner in the Woolshed Restaurant where you can enjoy Australian cuisines with locally sourced ingredients.

OPTION 3 – Perfect for Families

Book four nights in your choice of Holiday Unit. The holiday units at Rawnsley Park Station are a combination of one, two and three bedroom and come with a kitchen, living and dining space plus bathroom. They are perfect for families looking to escape the tent or caravan.

Set at the foot of the Flinders Ranges, the holiday units all have access to the onsite shop, free gas BBQs and outdoor pool. The Woolshed Restaurant is a short 5 minute walk and we recommend prebooking to avoid disappointment.

Add a fully guided walk of Wilpena Pound. This family friendly 15km loop walk requires a moderate degree of fitness and covers the Heysen Trail across the floor of the Pound, including Wangarra Lookout for the most stunning views of the escarpment and an easy climb to Bridle Gap. We return to the resort via Moralana Gorge. Morning tea and lunch is included along with 4WD transfers.

We will then add in a $50 voucher for dinner in the Woolshed Restaurant where you can enjoy Australian cuisine with locally sourced ingredients.
